What began as a small startup in Seattle has evolved into a long-running software company focused on workplace tools, merchant systems, gift cards, loyalty, and customer engagement platforms.

How Aqweeva Started

Aqweeva® began as a small startup in Seattle with a mission to simplify workplace communication and customer engagement through innovative software solutions.

One of the first products was Checkout, later rebranded as EzOutBoard. It was designed to help office receptionists track which employees were out of the office, where they had gone, and when they were expected to return. It was a simple but useful solution that brought visibility and organization to busy office environments.

Building on that momentum, Aqweeva explored a Building Directory System — a digital lobby display intended to show building information, tenant listings, and office locations. Although that project was short-lived due to technology limitations at the time, it helped set the stage for later innovation.

From there, Aqweeva developed additional software solutions including:

  • Virtual Sign In (VSI) — a tool for managing visitor sign-ins digitally
  • AGCS (Aqweeva Gift Card System) — a Windows-based gift card platform for merchants

Due to the success of AGCS, the product was later evolved into a web-based platform: NetGCS. That platform remains in production today and continues to be used by loyal customers across the United States.
