Aqweeva LLC

Company History

Aqweeva has been building practical software solutions since 1996, with a focus on business tools that solve real operational problems.

From early office workflow software to gift card, loyalty, and merchant-facing platforms, Aqweeva has continued to evolve while staying grounded in useful, real-world software development.

The Aqweeva Story

Founded: September 1996 Location: Seattle, Washington

Aqweeva® was founded as a small startup in Seattle. One of the first products developed was a software program called Checkout, later becoming EzOutBoard, which allowed employees to sign out from their office so a receptionist could quickly know who was out, where they were, and when they were expected back.

Another early concept was a building directory system designed for large office lobbies. The idea was to display building and tenant information on a large screen, including which companies were located in the building and what floors they occupied. It was an ambitious idea at the time, though the available technology was not yet where it needed to be.

Aqweeva later went on to develop Virtual Sign In (VSI) and, after that, a Windows-based Gift Card System called AGCS.

Due to the success of AGCS, Aqweeva quickly developed a web-based version called NetGCS. That product remains in production today and continues to be used by loyal customers across the United States. From there, Aqweeva continued exploring and building other software systems.

In 2016, it became clear that NetGCS was not only worth continued support, but worth rebuilding from the ground up using more modern technologies, stronger security practices, and an architecture designed for long-term growth and scalability.

That investment positioned Aqweeva to better serve small and medium-sized businesses while preparing NetGCS for future enhancements, including expanded mobile and virtual card experiences.

Where Aqweeva Is Headed

Today, Aqweeva is focused on continuing to grow NetGCS and related business software solutions for merchants and small to medium-sized businesses. The long-term vision includes stronger web-based tools, better merchant experiences, and expanded virtual and mobile-friendly customer experiences.

The goal is simple: continue building software that is useful, reliable, and designed around the real needs of businesses and the customers they serve.

Why Virtual Cards Matter

One of the major long-term benefits of virtual card access is convenience and resilience for card holders. A plastic card can be lost. Cash can be lost. But when a card is securely associated with a merchant account and accessible digitally, the customer experience becomes more flexible and potentially more secure.

Aqweeva sees this as part of the future of gift cards and loyalty: reducing friction while improving convenience for both merchants and customers.
